Gong Ting Pu-Erh Tea

Gong Ting Pu-erh tea, originating from Yunnan, China, is a shu (ripe) Pu-erh tea known for its smoothness and rich taste. The name "Gong Ting" translates to "Palace Pu-erh," reflecting its status as a tea of high esteem. This tea is made from young golden leaves, resulting in a full-bodied and smooth flavor without any bitterness. It can be infused at different strength levels while maintaining its mellow smoothness.

This tea is often described as having a slightly pungent aroma with hints of fennel or anise-like sweetness and deep forest notes. The liquor is dark, silky, and offers flavors that include anise, mineral, and possibly plum. Gong Ting Pu-erh is grown at elevations between 1500-2200 meters and is hand-plucked from 20-year-old Yunnan Kang No. 10 trees. It undergoes a shu Pu-erh process from an arbor species with golden buds and is aged for two years.
